Job Summary
Conduct evaluations, assess home environments, and identify equipment needs relative to speech and language function. Develop individualized plans of care in partnership with patients, caregivers, and physicians while providing counseling and education. Administer specialized therapeutic techniques, recommend communication devices, and prepare clinical notes. Communicate with healthcare practitioners regarding current home health plans and participate in case conferences. Maintain clinical competency and supervise home health aides as required. Requires a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, state licensure, and current CPR certification. Valid driver's license and access to transportation are essential for agency travel. Symbii Home Health provides professional, home-based medical care for patients needing rehabilitation following surgery, hospital stays, or illness.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology
- Licensed in the state where practicing
- Completed or in the process of completing 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum
- Performed not less than nine months of supervised full-time speech-language pathologist services after obtaining a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology or a related field
- Successfully completed a national examination in speech-language pathology approved by the Secretary
- Minimum of one year's clinical experience in Speech–Language Pathology
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organization skills
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Maintain automobile insurance coverage
- Access to an automobile
