Speech Therapist-Part Time

The Speech Therapist (Pathologist) provides speech therapy services to Agency patients as prescribed by the attending physician, including assessment, planning, and implementation of rehabilitation for speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities include diagnostic testing for evaluation, recording and reporting patient progress to physicians, instructing family members and health-care team, re-evaluating progress, preparing periodic reports for physicians and third-party payers, referring to outside audiology/speech clinics, maintaining clinical notes, and coordinating follow-up with community agencies. Requires establishment of goals and prognosis, liaison with physicians, and participation in in-service, case conferences, and staff meetings. Schedule is weekdays, day shift, 20 hours per week (3 days/week); no weekends, on-call, or holidays. Travel by automobile with exposure to changing weather. Qualifications emphasize Master's degree, IL SLP licensure, and relevant Home Health experience with AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials; role involves ongoing documentation and professional development.
