Job Summary
Provide outpatient speech-language services in-home for older adults, evaluating patients through history, systems review, and standardized tests to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Deliver therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, screen for hearing deficits, instruct patients on adaptive devices, and ensure adherence to departmental documentation and safety protocols. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and supervise temporary licensees or students as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
- Must have a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients' residence.
