Job Summary
Organize and provide speech-language services to facilitate rehabilitation, directing patient participation to restore communication and swallowing functions. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, develop treatment goals, and implement therapeutic techniques for cognitive-communication, oral motor skills, and dysphagia. Adapt plans of care based on individual needs, coordinate adaptive communication devices, and perform Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) where trained. Supervise temporary licensees and students, attend staffing conferences, make referrals, and ensure timely documentation while maintaining a safe environment. Work on 13-week nationwide assignments across various settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Must be able to travel nationwide for 13 week assignments
- Must be able to travel the country and work in various settings
