Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients across all age groups to develop effective treatment plans, then measure progress and modify those plans as needed. Educate patients to produce optimal outcomes while assessing diagnoses for simple and complex therapy programs. Apply knowledge of Speech Language Pathology theory, procedures, and equipment, maintaining thorough awareness of patient care hazards and precautions. Utilize Microsoft Office suite for documentation and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills. Maintain current Florida licensure, BLS certification, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Less than one year of clinical experience in acute care, outpatient, or SNF settings is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Knowledge of Speech Language Pathology theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial actions in the care of patients
- Ability to assess for an implement treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Current Florida license as Speech-Language Pathologist
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute care, Outpatient, SNF)
- Experience obtained during fellowship applies
