Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes and facilities. Administer diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop periodic reviews of treatment and care plans. Observe, record, and report patient condition changes to supervisors and physicians while providing instruction on alternative communication systems. Maintain documentation, submit written reports, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning. Adhere to confidentiality standards and complete required continuing education. Requires ASHA certification, six months of speech therapy experience, current license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Pay ranges from $54.00 to $76.00 per visit or $85,400 to $117,500 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
