Job Summary
Provide in-home speech-language pathology services to patients in the home or facility. Evaluate, direct and provide speech/language pathology services; participate in development and periodic review of Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care; assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing; administer and interpret diagnostic tests and applications of therapeutic treatments; observe and report changes in patient condition; provide instruction in alternative communication systems; counsel patients, families and healthcare staff; maintain and submit documentation; participate in care coordination and discharge planning; maintain professional conduct and patient confidentiality; require ASHA Certification (CCC), licensure, CPR, and a minimum of six months of experience; must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA)
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
