Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities. Administer diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop periodic reviews of treatment and care plans. Observe, record, and report patient condition changes to supervisors and physicians while providing instruction on alternative communication systems. Maintain documentation, submit written progress reports, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning. Adhere to confidentiality standards and complete required continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Good organizational and communication skills
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
