Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech and language pathology services to patients in the home or facility. Administer diagnostic tests, including audio logic screening, and interpret results to treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing. Develop, review, and maintain Plans of Treatment and Care while documenting evaluations, visits, and progress reports. Provide instruction to patients and families on alternative communication systems and participate in care coordination and discharge planning. Maintain confidentiality and attend required staff development and continuing education programs.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
