Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in the home or facility. Administer diagnostic tests, including audio logic screening, and interpret results to prevent and minimize disorder effects. Develop, review, and submit timely written reports on evaluations, visits, care plans, and progress. Provide instruction to patients on alternative communication systems and counsel families and healthcare staff. Maintain documentation, participate in care coordination and discharge planning, and attend staff development programs. Requires ASHA certification, six months of speech therapy experience, current license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Pay ranges from $54.00 to $76.00 per visit or $59,300 to $80,900 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
