Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities. Administer diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop periodic plans of treatment to address disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing. Observe, record, and report patient condition changes and treatment responses to supervisors and physicians. Provide instruction on alternative communication systems and counsel patients, families, and healthcare staff. Submit timely written reports, evaluations, and care coordination activities while maintaining strict confidentiality. Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and internal staff development programs. Requires current license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Good organizational and communication skills
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
