Job Summary
Provide in-home or facility-based speech-language pathology services to patients, including evaluation, treatment and ongoing Plan of Treatment/Plan of Care development. Assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing; administer and interpret diagnostic tests; document progress and coordinate care with supervisors, physicians, patients, families and healthcare staff. Deliver instruction on alternative communication systems when appropriate; provide counseling to patients and families; maintain confidential documentation and participate in discharge planning. Requires driving to patient homes or facilities, with 40-hour workweek for full-time position.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver‘s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
