Job Summary
As a Home Health Speech Therapist, evaluate, direct and provide speech-language pathology services to patients in home or facility settings; participate in development and review of the Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care; assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing; administer and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic applications; observe and document patient changes; provide training in alternative communication systems; counsel patients, families and healthcare staff; maintain documentation and participate in care coordination and discharge planning; require ASHA CCC or equivalent certification, licensure, CPR, and transportation to patient homes.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Good organizational and communication skills
- A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
