Job Summary
As a Home Health Speech Therapist, evaluate, direct, and provide speech-language pathology services to patients in the home or facility; participate in development and periodic review of the Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care; assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing; administer and interpret diagnostic tests; provide instruction on alternative communication systems; counsel patients, families, and healthcare staff; document and report patient progress; participate in care coordination and discharge planning; maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; pursue continuing education as required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field as required for ASHA Certification
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA or eligibility for certification
- Current and unrestricted license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Experience: minimum of six months as a speech therapist/Speech-Language Pathologist; Home Health experience a plus
