Job Summary
Evaluate, direct and provide speech-language pathology services to patients in the home or facility; participate in development and periodic review of the Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care; assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing; administer and interpret diagnostic tests and applications of therapeutic treatments; observe and report changes to supervisor/physician; provide instruction in alternative communication; counsel patients, families and healthcare staff; maintain and submit documentation and participate in care coordination and discharge planning; uphold confidentiality and participate in continuing education as required.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA)
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
