Job Summary
Provide speech-language pathology services in the home or facility, including evaluation and treatment of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders; develop and review Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care; administer diagnostic tests and apply therapeutic treatments; observe and report patient progress; instruct patients in alternative communication systems when appropriate; educate patients, families and healthcare staff; maintain documentation and participate in care coordination and discharge planning; requires ASHA CCC-SLP/CCC-A certification eligibility and a valid driver’s license; six months of experience preferred; home health setting with travel to patient homes.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA CCC-SLP/CCC-A)
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist/speech-language pathologist
- Home Health experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP or CCC-A) or equivalent
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum six months of supervised experience as a speech therapist/speech-language pathologist
- Valid driver’s license
- Home health experience is a plus
