Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations, including history taking, systems review, and application of appropriate tests to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select therapeutic regimens, make referrals to other disciplines, and coordinate adaptive communication devices. Screen for hearing deficits and refer for assessment or rehabilitation. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and ensure a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols. Document all services, monitor patient progress, and modify treatment plans through routine reexaminations. Complete all Clinical Fellowship requirements, provisional licensure steps, and necessary documentation under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
