Job Summary
Complete a minimum of 36-week Clinical Fellowship under supervision of a licensed, ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist while pursuing provisional licensure or meeting CMS supervision requirements. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and design individualized treatment plans covering cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, and functional communication. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select therapeutic regimens, make referrals, and modify care plans based on patient progress. Ensure patient safety by enforcing fire hazard elimination, order supplies, and maintain equipment. Communicate fellowship status and licensure documentation to supervisors and attend staffing conferences. Adhere to productivity standards for the rehab gym and prioritize patient service in a compassionate atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
