Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations, including history taking, systems reviews, and application of appropriate tests to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Coordinate adaptive communication devices, screen for hearing deficits, and refer patients to other disciplines for comprehensive care. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and ensure a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to determine impairments, predict improvement levels, and design treatment goals in collaboration with caregivers. Complete all related documentation, record keeping, and licensure requirements for the Clinical Fellowship under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
