Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations, including history taking, systems reviews, and application of appropriate tests to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate regimens, make referrals to other disciplines, and coordinate adaptive communication devices. Screen for hearing deficits, instruct patients in therapeutic skills, and perform routine reexaminations to modify treatment progress. Maintain a safe environment, enforce safety protocols, and complete all required documentation for licensure and the Clinical Fellowship. Adhere to productivity standards for the rehab gym and attend staffing conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
