Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, including history taking, systems reviews, and diagnostic testing to establish impairments and treatment goals. Implement therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select regimens, make referrals, and coordinate adaptive communication devices. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and ensure a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols. Screen for hearing deficits and refer for appropriate rehabilitation. Document all services, progress evaluations, and licensure status for the Clinical Fellowship, ensuring compliance with CMS and state requirements. Participate in staffing conferences and meet productivity standards for the rehab gym.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
