Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations, including history taking, systems reviews, and application of appropriate tests to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Screen for hearing deficits, coordinate adaptive communication devices, and instruct patients in therapeutic activities and skill techniques. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select regimens, make referrals, and ensure a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and complete all required documentation for licensure and clinical fellowship progress. Participate in staffing conferences and meet productivity standards for the rehab gym.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
