Job Summary
Conduct speech-language pathology evaluations, including history reviews, system assessments, and application of appropriate tests to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques targeting cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, oral motor skills, and functional communication while adapting plans based on individual patient needs. Screen for hearing deficits, coordinate adaptive communication devices, and instruct patients in therapeutic skills and activity participation. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select regimens, make referrals, and contribute to staffing conferences. Maintain equipment, order supplies, and enforce safety protocols. Complete a minimum of 36 weeks of supervised clinical fellowship, ensuring licensure requirements are met and documentation is current.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
