Job Summary
Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting patient assessments, implementing prescribed therapeutic activities, and developing individualized treatment plans. Provide direct patient care for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Instruct patients in exercises to improve communication skills, collaborate on augmentative and alternative communication strategies, and maintain accurate documentation of progress. Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary team members while participating in team meetings. Requires current state licensure, experience in critical care or inpatient settings, and proficiency in standardized testing procedures. Flexible work hours allow you to create your own schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state licensure or certification
- Experience in pediatrics, adults and geriatrics or school settings
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech pathology
- Ability to work in critical care environments
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques
- Strong case management skills
- Experience with standardized testing procedures
- Previous experience in inpatient settings
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and therapeutic techniques
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining licensure and participating in professional development activities
