Job Summary
Part-time Speech Therapist providing assessment and intervention for speech and language disorders. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, applying evidence-based speech therapy techniques, collaborating with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals, monitoring and documenting patient progress, and educating families about speech and language development. The role emphasizes early intervention strategies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and staying current with best practices in speech therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it relates to speech and language.
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with early intervention practices for children with communication disorders.
- Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate speech and language challenges effectively.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
