Job Summary
Conduct therapeutic assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapy services for pediatric populations, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Evaluate data to determine progress toward goals and adjust plans as needed while functioning as a supervising discipline for assigned cases. Provide speech therapy services outlined in the Michigan Medicaid Manual, working evenings, weekends, and irregular hours. Requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state registration, and a valid Michigan driver's license with vehicle access for client visits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Therapy
- registered by the State of Michigan as a Speech Language Pathologist Therapist
- some documented experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- experience working with pediatric populations
- ability to provide speech therapy services as outlined in the Michigan Medicaid Manual
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and some irregular hours
- valid Michigan driver's license
- current automobile insurance
- use of a vehicle during work hours
- ability to physically perform the tasks
- ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances
- ability to perceive depth and spatial relationships
- ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
- ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
- ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
- ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks
- ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment

- Strong clinical foundation in assessing and treating apraxia
- experience working with individuals who may engage in challenging behavior
- experience functioning as a member of a multidisciplinary team
