Job Summary
As a Speech Therapist, you will conduct assessments of communication and swallowing disorders, plan and supervise individualized therapeutic programs, and teach patients techniques to improve their abilities. You will coordinate with the Rehab Director, document patient progress, instruct agency personnel, and participate in case conferences and quality assurance programs. Critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills are essential for this role, alongside maintaining ethical practices as per the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from a University program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association.
- Current licensed by the state of Texas to practice as a Speech-Language-Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in Speech Language Pathology in a home health setting preferred.
