Speech Pathologist

Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders for residents, families, and team members. Identify patients with communication or swallow deficits and evaluate them within one business day of referral. Plan and administer appropriate treatment programs while communicating with referring physicians and the rehabilitation team. Maintain accurate daily records of treatments, billing, and charting in compliance with weekly documentation guidelines. Provide in-service education to facilities, staff, students, and the community. Report witnessed allegations of abuse immediately and adhere to all facility safety policies. Work beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary, including emergency evacuations.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet recognized standards of the professional education and qualifications
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
- Must be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to meet the general health requirements set forth by State regulations and Company policy which may include medical and physical examinations
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Twisting, Bending, Crawling, Squatting, Kneeling, Crouching, Climbing and Balancing are all required
