Speech Pathologist (SLP) Acute Care PRN

Conduct acute care speech therapy services for patients while adhering to department policies on written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team members. Complete administrative responsibilities and demonstrate skill competencies in treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols. Perform re-evaluations according to guidelines and adjust treatment plans based on diagnosis, age group, and patient status. Select appropriate evaluation and treatment methods while formulating treatment plans. Requires a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, BLS certification, and VA licensure. PRN schedule includes at least two weekend shifts monthly, one minor and one major holiday, with some weekday availability for training.
