Job Summary
Coordinate consultations and diagnostic evaluations for patients with communication disorders or oropharyngeal dysphagia, interpreting assessment data and planning treatment interventions across neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Supervise rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers, providing orientation and ongoing guidance as needed. Perform Modified Barium Swallow studies and deliver care to all age groups. Requires weekend coverage (2-4 shifts monthly), holiday work, and a Master's degree with CCC.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC
- Direct acute care hospital experience
- Proficiency in completing Modified Barium Swallow studies
- Availability for weekend coverage (2-4 weekend shifts per month)
- Availability during times of high volume/call outs/vacation coverage
- Willingness to work minimum 1 holiday per year
