Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Supervise student interns, clinical affiliates, and Clinical Fellowships as needed. Immediately notify charge nurses, managers, and supervisors of significant incidents or crises. Set patient care priorities and assign activities to appropriate personnel based on scope of practice and competency. Maintain licensure, CCC-SLP certification, and CPR/BLS certification in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' speech language pathology experience
