Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Set patient care priorities and assign activities to appropriate personnel based on competency. Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services while supervising student interns and clinical affiliates. Immediately notify charge nurses and supervisors of significant incidents or crises. Participate in clinical education and offer education opportunities to personnel and the broader community. Maintain licensure and adhere to state and federal regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' speech language pathology experience
