Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while setting care priorities and assigning activities to appropriate personnel. Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Supervise student interns, clinical affiliates, and Clinical Fellowships as needed, and educate personnel and the broader community on relevant topics. Immediately notify charge nurses, managers, and supervisors of significant incidents or crises requiring administrative intervention. Maintain state licensure, CCC-SLP certification, and CPR/BLS certification in compliance with Adventist Health policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' speech language pathology experience
