Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Set patient care priorities and assign activities to appropriate personnel based on scope of practice and competency. Supervise student interns, clinical affiliates, and Clinical Fellowships as needed. Immediately notify charge nurses, managers, and supervisors of significant incidents or crises requiring administrative intervention. Provide education opportunities to personnel and the broader community. Adhere to state and federal regulatory guidelines and maintain required licensure, CCC-SLP certification, and CPR/BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' speech language pathology experience
