Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Intervene appropriately when significant problems or crises occur, notifying charge nurses, managers, and supervisors of unusual incidents. Participate in clinical education by supervising student interns, clinical affiliates, and Clinical Fellowships as needed. Provide education opportunities to personnel and the broader community. Set patient care priorities and assign activities to appropriate personnel based on competency and scope of practice. Requires Master's degree, state licensure, CCC-SLP, and CPR/BLS certification. Full-time role at Adventist Health Clear Lake.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgment of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' speech language pathology experience
