Job Summary
Conduct dysphagia diagnostics and short-term therapy in physician offices, clinics, nursing homes, or via tele-therapy. Perform endoscopic swallowing studies (FEES) using the Dysphagia Systems Test to evaluate muscular, neurological, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and cognitive systems. Present customized diagnostic profiles and recommendations for diet, therapy, and further evaluations while collaborating with the patient's care team. Utilize the DST and incorporate the patient's entire Care Team to establish realistic goals and improve patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Completion of Certificate of Clinical Competency
- At least 5 years experience in long-term care following completion of CFY
