Job Summary
Speech Pathologist involved in evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs. Responsibilities include identifying issues, modifying therapy as needed, and tracking/documenting patient performance and progress. Position located in Vernon, TX within Encompass Health’s inpatient rehabilitation setting; requires state licensure/CCC certification and CPR (or within 30 days). Master’s degree preferred (or Bachelor’s with field experience); opportunities for professional growth and participation in a nationwide rehabilitation network.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure or certification required by state regulations
- Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Master‘s degree preferred, or Bachelor‘s degree with field experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience
- CCC Certification (SLP-CCC)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- CPR certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire
- Experience evaluating, assessing, developing and administering personalized treatment plans for speech and language rehabilitation
- Strong documentation and progress-tracking skills
- Ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team
- Familiarity with pediatric and/or adult speech-language pathology settings as applicable
