Job Summary
Develop and implement care plans with measurable short and long-term goals for patients with speech and language impairments. Administer diagnostic and rehabilitative services, including assessments, evaluations, and remedial programs for conditions such as aphasia, articulatory defects, and voice disorders. Collaborate with care partners and the team on discharge planning and attend evaluation conferences to monitor patient progress. Complete required documentation for patient care and reimbursement while counseling patients and families on adjustment to impairments. Supervise fieldwork students and participate in case conferences as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree with a major in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college
- three-hundred hours of supervised clinical experience in speech-language pathology
- NYS Speech Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association
- CPR certification
- ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
