Job Summary

Provide individual and group speech and language therapy in person, including direct play-based child-oriented sessions. Conduct diagnostic evaluations, screenings, and initial assessments to develop and implement IEP goals. Confer with classroom teachers to prepare daily activities for the Special Education Program and supervise Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped staff. Maintain therapy records, progress monitoring logs, and reports according to applicable time requirements. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a $5,000 retention bonus. Requires a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, NYS certification, and at least one year of experience with pre-K-12 students with developmental disabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • at least one year experience working with students pre-K-12 with developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of diagnostic, assessments and report writing
  • Familiarity with therapeutic diagnostics, assessments and report writing
  • Familiarity with therapeutic approaches dealing with language, articulation and oral-motor skills
  • Masters Degree in Speech Pathology
  • NYS Certification, license

Desired Qualifications

  • ASHA Certification preferred
