Job Summary
Assess and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through diagnostic assessments, treatment plan development, and evidence-based intervention strategies. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, clinical providers, and family members to provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological disorders in outpatient and acute settings. Maintain current knowledge of new technologies by participating in continuing education, research, and the administration of modified barium swallow studies and flexible endoscopic evaluations. Provide direct patient care via telehealth platforms, supervise graduate students and clinical fellows, and ensure strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in relevant field
- State of FL Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Completion of clinical fellowship and/or 1 year of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary

- Familiarity with various informal and standardized motor speech, language, and cognitive assessment tools
- Maintaining a caseload of speech, voice, and swallowing therapy patients with diverse diagnoses
- Participation in a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment to provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of neurological disorders in both outpatient and acute care settings
- Experience performing and interpreting modified barium swallow studies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing and interpreting flexible endoscopic evaluations of swallowing
- Familiarity with the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices
- Familiarity with the application of tracheostomy speaking valves
