Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, develop individual treatment plans, and administer therapy while monitoring progress. Liaise with teachers, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure patients and families are informed of new treatments and techniques. Work with patients from diverse backgrounds and conduct house calls as needed. Maintain familiarity with database management software and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to find solutions using available resources. Conduct research and travel to conferences. Requires a Master's degree, relevant license, and certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology
- Relevant license and certification
- Experience with certain disorders and age groups
- Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments
- Familiarity with database management software
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to conduct research
- Willingness to travel to conferences
