Job Summary
Conduct thorough speech-language evaluations and assess home environments to support therapy goals for patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement personalized plans of care, providing therapy using specialized techniques tailored to individual needs. Recommend communication aids, coordinate with referring physicians, and participate in case conferences to ensure cohesive care delivery. Accurately document all evaluations and progress while educating patients and families on therapy programs. Supervise home health aides and identify additional patient needs for appropriate referrals. Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills in speech-language pathology practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- At least one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology
- Current BLS (CPR) certification – hands-on training required
