SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPIST (FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME)

Job Summary
Provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral in a post-acute care setting within Life Care Centers of America facilities. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support functional progress and quality of life for residents. Hold a graduate degree in speech therapy (MS/MA) and ASHA CCCs or be eligible for CFY to attain certification, with ongoing credential maintenance. Participate in community health matters, demonstrate proficiency with therapy software and standard office tools, liaise with patients and families, maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies and Code of Conduct, and deliver patient-centered care across therapy programs. New grads are welcome to apply; responsibilities include implementing and following treatment plans, upholding patient rights and safety, and delivering compassionate service in a skilled nursing/post-acute care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCC) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria
- Must maintain ASHA credentialing

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Ability to oversee and evaluate care given by SLP CFYs (SLP CFY)
- Follow speech therapy treatment plans under direction of supervising SLP CCC
- Read, write, speak, and understand English language
