Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Hold a valid New Jersey educational services Speech-Language Specialist certificate
- Demonstrate ability to assess, treat, and provide strategies for prevention and remediation of speech, language, and hearing disorders
- Demonstrate knowledge of Speech-Language pathology, child growth and development, learning assessment and diagnosis, research related to learning, instructional strategies, and classroom management
- Understand current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Team and special education assessment and program requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community
- Ability to interpret and assist classroom teachers with the analysis of data
