Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor at Nevada State University will oversee clinical operations within the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic, providing direct supervision to graduate student clinicians for both pediatric and adult populations. Responsibilities include developing therapeutic protocols, maintaining comprehensive client documentation, teaching coursework in the Speech-Language Pathology curriculum, and being actively involved in clinical team collaboration. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, hold CCC-SLP certification, and have at least two years of clinical experience, alongside demonstrated supervisory experience. A strong commitment to clinical education and evidence-based practice is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Minimum of two (2) years of post-certification clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
- Demonstrated experience supervising graduate student clinicians and/or Clinical Fellows (CF).
- Current Nevada license to practice Speech-Language Pathology by the start date of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to the ASHA Code of Ethics, HIPAA regulations, FERPA, and confidentiality standards.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience evaluating and treating children and adults with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Clinical experience across diverse practice settings (e.g., schools, medical facilities, rehabilitation centers, community clinics) serving pediatric and adult populations.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse, first-generation, and non-traditional student populations.
- Strong interest in contributing to the continued development and expansion of an on-campus speech-language pathology clinic and affiliated community clinical services.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and experience working effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
