Job Summary
Assist designated patients with rehabilitation treatment programs to improve communication and swallowing skills. Administer routine procedures, document client progress, prepare patient materials and activities, and maintain therapy equipment and supply inventory. Work under the supervision of the Patient Services Manager, Practice Coordinator, and Speech/Language Pathologists within a team-based environment. Complete a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant Program with one year of recent related experience. A Criminal Records Review Check may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant Program
- one year's recent, related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to teach
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check
