Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Job Summary
SLPA role in Houston-area schools: implement speech-language therapy activities under supervision of a licensed SLP, support IEP goals with direct and/or group therapy, document progress, prepare therapy materials, and collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support students with articulation, language, and fluency needs. Maintain organized records, follow district guidelines and compliance standards, and accommodate caseloads Pre-K through High School. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or related field and active Texas licensure as an SLPA; supervision by an SLP and a Texas driver’s license if travel between campuses is needed; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time placements in school-based, on-site Houston positions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or related field
- Active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Valid Texas driver’s license (if travel between campuses is required)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
