Job Summary

Provide direct speech and language services to students in individual classrooms and residential settings under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist. Lead residential floors in the morning, coordinate with overnight staff, and train new employees on student schedules and routines. Develop lesson plans, curricula, and materials for communication programs while collaborating with head teachers to implement SCERTS and AAC systems. Consult with the supervising SLP on IEP goals, monitor student progress data, and co-sign required documents. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, parent conferences, and staff trainings to support student support plans and daily living techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology and/or related fields
  • Licensure for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  • CPR, First Aid, Safety Care
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must pass CORI background check
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspaces

  • Experience working with Autistic individuals
  • Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication systems
