Job Summary
Evaluate and treat communication disorders including language, articulation, voice, pragmatic language, fluency, and executive functioning in pediatric clients from birth to age 18. Prepare and implement treatment plans, create client-specific goals, and complete detailed documentation of evaluations and treatments. Provide support and guidance to families to foster implemented behaviors. Maintain a targeted caseload of 25 therapy hours weekly. Based on interest and specialty, assess, diagnose, and treat feeding and swallowing disorders. Serve as a CF Supervisor once every two years. Some travel within the assigned region for training, meetings, and supporting client coverage needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
- Completion of your Clinical Fellowship Year
- SLP licensure or license eligible, in the state of Illinois
- Ability to receive training in, and implement, de-escalation skills for clients
- Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to work in a variety of active positions, including on the floor during played-based therapy
- Some travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs
