Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Licensed Speech Therapist
• •Knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
• •Ability to supervise Therapist Assistants and therapy students
• •Ability to carry out plan of care and patient related activities per state practice act
• •Ability to maintain documentation of services in the medical record
• •Ability to conduct in-services and training for patients, clients and team members on restorative techniques
• •Ability to evaluate patients based upon physician referral/orders
• •Ability to develop effective treatment plans with functional, goal based outcomes
• •Ability to ensure approval /orders for services from referring physician
• •Ability to treat patients according to treatment plan
• •Ability to record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines
• •Ability to record daily treatment charges per approved billing guidelines
• •Ability to instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs
• •Ability to participate in discharge planning
• •Ability to communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans
• •Positive attitude and team building approach
• •Consistent attendance
• •Ability to provide appropriate notice for scheduled paid time off
• •Ability to maintain productivity standard as determined by supervisor and clinical needs
